Hyman earned his reputation as the founding father of gourmet coffee in California when he and his wife Mona opened the first branch of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Although at the time a very small organization, the company was already big on quality, as demonstrated by our insistence on directly sourcing superior tea leaves and coffee beans from all over the world; processing and brewing these fresh daily; and offering our gourmet products with exemplary service on exquisite tableware in a comfortable, yet exceptional, environment.
