Organized on March 20, 1959, the Philippine Chamber of Food Manufacturers, Inc. (PCFMI) now counts about 70 member companies consisting of some of the most respected names in food manufacturing and food service in the country. With a liberalized policy environment leading to less regulations of the activities and operations of the food industry, the role of the Food Chamber has changed from a reactive or protective character, to one of an initiator of programs and ideas that seek to continue the purpose for which the Food Chamber was established, i.e. to promote the growth and development of the food industry.
