The humble beginning of the institution is a story of selfless giving and fidelity, charism and charity. Notably working with the sisters are the pioneer doctors, the nursing attendants, and most of all Bishop Dennis Dougherty. At the turn of the 20th century, Iloilo which used to be called Irong-irong or Ilong-ilong underwent a tremendous social economic and political spiritual.
