To understand the history and growth of Benedicto College, one has to know its heart. Pioneers at the college stand witness to its beginning as the owner’s way of giving back to the community for all the blessings on the family.And so, the family patriarch --- Philippine Ambassador to India, Nepal and Bhutan Francisco L. Benedicto --- set up in the year 2000 a school. Its objective: To be the affordable school of choice for the less privileged who, armed with braveness of heart and indomitable will, were bent on improving the quality of their life.The first offerings were the four-year programs leading to a B.S. in Information Technology, and a B.S. in Computer Science. Computer Technology.Ever sensitive to the students’ needs, the school has grown in more ways than initially imagined. From its initial College of Information Technology, Benedicto College has expanded into six more academic colleges, and offers Basic Education and short-term courses as well.Courses for the technical- and vocational-inclined are also available --- Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Automotive, Plumbing, Carpentry, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Machining, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Computer Hardware Servicing, Computer Programming, 2D/3D Animation, Front Office/Desk, Housekeeping, Commercial Cooking, Food and Beverage, Bartending, Household Services, Massage Therapy, and Language Skills – English and Finishing Course for Call Center Agents.
