Giannina Gonzalez - Food Stylist and Chef - Manila, Philippines

Despite being a freelance Food Stylist, I am currently working for the consultancy company, Supreme Food and Beverage Consultancy as one of the senior stylists. I am also the manager of Cafe Ysabel’s Gourmet counter in SM Hypermart Pasig, Fairview & Mall of Asia called, Chef Gino’s Gourmet. I am also the Marketing and Communications officer for Cafe Ysabel and the Center for Asian Culinary Studies. Right now, I am the Operations Manager and Food Styling Department Head of the Center for Asian Culinary Studies, I developed and am currently teaching the Philippine’s first Professional Food Styling Program, which is part of the continuing education programs we offer to chefs in the school. I have also opened a restaurant along with my brother in Eastwood Mall named Buenisimo by Cafe

Ysabel. (whew!)On the lighter side of things I love travelling, and I always try to learn something new. In 2007, I went on an extensive tour of the Torres’ Vineyards in Spain which helped give life to a website-club I helped develop called Wines and Spirits Club Philippines. And in January of 2008, I took the Thai Master Culinary Courses (along with Cafe Ysabel’s other chefs) under Sompon Nabnian of The Chiang Mai Cookery School and another Thai Culinary Course in Pad Thai Cookery School. Other than that, I take lots of pictures, eat food and soak up culture.
