Jade Bros., Freight Int'l., Inc. (Jade Bros., for short) is the resultant corporate entity arising from a merger, in March 1999, with E.A. Santos & Sons Brokerage Corporation; the former engaged in the business of freight forwarding, the latter, customs brokerage. This resulted in greater efficiency and economy as operations were streamlined and overlapping functions integrated.The merger was initiated not by accident nor by fate, but through the meticulous efforts of its principal who first established the brokerage firm as a sole proprietorship in 1985. It was a beginning so humble that he had to sublet and share office space with another firm in a rundown building in Binondo, Manila.
