I would like to comment on their Charity Ward not a conducive place for a stroke patient like my father (and any patients of course). The doctor from ER told us that my father needs to be admitted for 3 days to properly monitor his seizure w/c is a post stroke effect. Actually, he said we can go home but it is more recommended to stay as he needs oxygen supply in case the seizure attacks. The doctor even guaranteed us and that we should not be worried as their Charity Ward despite of "not so good" public impression, compared in the private rooms the Doctor/s and Consultant here are almost the same in terms of their service and expertise w/ those in Private Rooms. So we do what the doctor advise us.

I was surprised how suffocating their Charity Ward is. When the transfer was completed, I asked the nurse in the Nurse Station just in front the ward if is it possible that we can provide electric fan for my father but she was rude when she answered me "NO" because of an incident happened to the other room where short circuit happened because of a broken fan. Yes, I was not able to do anything to give comfortable ward for my father. We were so frustrated and so worried to our father.

After a night my sister who happened to be the watcher of my dad said that my father suddenly got a dry cough. She told me how hard it is for my father to cough on his situation w/c sometimes triggers his seizure and to do his best to vomit the phlegm w/c he acquired in a night to that room 301.

It is a new problem, yes. In our 3 days stay in that hospital for oxygen support severes my father's condition. Plus the rude nurses whenever we need for help. Horrible.

Now, I decided to call Rizal Medical Center's attention by calling their contact number appears in their website. Someone who introduced herself as Grace Aguilar answered my call. I was not even an irate caller then and just told her that I want to raise my complaint. Just like any other nurses in the Charity Ward, this person pointed someone who can attend to my call instead. Why are these people can not accept my inquiries? If not for my father of course I will not disturb them. They do not know how to properly handle clients or customers in a nice way. They do not know what patients or customers satisfaction means as oppose to the core values. The Admin article on their site and the Core Values are so impressive as like with the Medical City...Makati Med and St Lukes service orientation. But, don't dare try to experience.

I hope somebody in the admin of this Hospital care about their integrity. Please do action on this. If your facilities are not that pleasing, high tech and complete, don't extend it to your people. They should learn how to respect and give good (if can not "the best") service to your patients and clients equally and KINDLY.

I hope my father's situation will not deteriorate and we can still do something about this.

I appreciate your action.
