THE HISTORY
Central Luzon, specifically Pampanga, is home to the country’s finest furniture makers whose products find their niche in equally finest stores in the world, bought and favored by royalties, celebrities, hotel owners, among others. Design and skilled craftsmanship being the trademark of these products are compared to Italy’s best.
However, much as they are admired abroad, importers and foreign buyers as well as local consumers like hotels and residential property owners are not able to appreciate this as they have nowhere to see a collective presentation/showroom of these products. Even foreign buyers who want to look for locally manufactured furniture pieces will have to go to factories located in various locations, an inconvenient proposition especially if they are
The Philippine Exporters Foundation, Inc. R3 or Philexport R3 addressed this situation by establishing a common showroom where products from different companies are showcased – antique and modern furniture in bamboo, rattan and wicker, chairs, sofa and sofa beds, chairs and other wooden products in fine craftsmanship. This availability of different products in varied designs allows the buyers to make a quick decision to purchase immediately. This eliminates the task of going from one showroom to another, thus, saving them precious time and resources.
The DECO Central showroom basically:
Showcases capacity and capability (products) of the Pampanga based furniture manufacturers and exporters
Serves as a launching pad for new products
Creates a convergence zone for target buyers, local and foreign.
Serves as a first stop for local and foreign buyers/buying agents not familiar with the region’s furniture and home furnishings manufacturing and export capacity
The Clark Freeport Zone welcomed this new addition to its growing destinations on February 12, 2011 when it formally opened its doors to the public.
