Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is an executive search firm recruiting on behalf of a leading fashion and retail company. Our respected client is seeking a highly skilled Territory Sales Officer to join their team. This role will be based in Davao, Philippines.

Job Overview:
The Territory Sales Officer reports directly to the Territory Sales Manager. The primary objective is to maintain relationships with sub-distributors and customers, meet sales targets, monitor inventory, assist in implementing brand programs, and ensure efficient sales operations within a specific geographic area. This includes auditing and monitoring sub-distributors and store teams, coordinating and reporting necessary data, and interacting with various internal departments and sub-distributors. The role requires building harmonious relationships and trust with all concerned parties.

Responsibilities:

Administrative and Operational Support:

  • Conduct regular store visits to audit sales and inventory, check visual merchandising (taking corrective action as needed), and provide in-store training for staff. Communicate and monitor targets across stores to ensure they are met.
  • Implement performance standards across all stores based on brand standards.
  • Perform other duties related to the primary tasks.
  • Provide administrative support as required by the department.
  • Implement marketing strategies prescribed by the Marketing Department.
  • Assess sales performance of sub-distributors and individual stores.
  • Work with the Sales Head and Territory Sales Manager to implement effective sales methods.
  • Submit reports in a timely manner.
  • Update the Sub-distributor Order Monitoring file with uploaded and/or posted sales orders (SOs) and delivery receipts (DRs).
  • Monitor the progress of ongoing orders and follow up as necessary.

Territorial Financial Targets Achievement:

  • Ensure growth in sales and achievement of sell-in and sell-out targets in the assigned territory.
  • Coordinate with accounts regarding orders, consolidate orders of sub-distributors and direct accounts, review orders, and ensure compliance with merchandising directions.
  • Monitor sell-in performance across accounts to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Conduct monthly business review meetings with sub-distributors, either in-person or via conference calls, alongside the Sales Head and Territory Sales Manager.
  • Perform regular store visits to ensure proper inventory levels and participation in brand promotions and guidelines.
  • Propose plans, activations, and liquidation activities, such as selling events, as needed.

Territorial Relationship Building:

  • Build strong working relationships with business partners, key accounts, and direct accounts.
  • Regularly coordinate with sub-distributor key personnel to address concerns and provide support.
  • Serve as a liaison between the company, business partners, and the market.
  • Gather insights from sub-distributors and the market through regular retail visits and research.
  • Assist sub-distributors in surveying the territory/market and proposing necessary strategies or improvements.
  • Conduct retail visits to various territories, including untapped areas, as part of sub-distributors' business plans and territorial development reviews.
  • Ensure flawless execution of sales and distribution processes.

Implementation of Territorial Operational Standards and Best Practices:

  • Ensure that sub-distributors are equipped with the necessary tools and mechanisms to operate efficiently, in collaboration with the Sales Head and Territory Sales Manager.
  • Ensure alignment with operational efficiencies at sub-distributor locations.

Territorial Inventory Monitoring:

  • Analyze received shipments against accounts' orders and reallocate inventory as needed.
  • Support Sales Enablement Specialists in processing sales orders (SOs) and ensure timely and complete delivery of all orders.
  • Provide a rolling Sales Stock Report (SSR) / Open to Buy (OTB) file, updated monthly, in collaboration with the Sales Strategy & Distribution Manager and Territory Sales Manager.

Territorial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Monitor all accounts' sales and retail metrics with the Territory Sales Manager.
  • Validate weekly and monthly reports on territorial sell-out and retail metrics, providing analysis and action plans.
  • Prepare and send daily sales reports to the Territory Sales Manager for sub-distributors' stores and Concept Stores.

Data Collection and Report Creation:

  • Assist in encoding and consolidating data for reports, including but not limited to Sell-Out and Retail Metrics Reports (daily and monthly) and People Counter extraction and analysis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in retail and/or wholesale, with a background in fashion brands being a plus.
  • Experience handling distributors, traveling, B2B interactions, store inspections, and communication with store general managers.
  • Background in retail, especially from mall-based stores or fashion brands (e.g., Penshoppe, Bench).
  • Above-average written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of the sales and retail environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel anywhere in the Philippines, mostly in Visayas area.
