Daraga Water District - Philippines

Prior to year 1981, the water facilities and supply system in the Municipality of Daraga was controlled and operated through the Provincial Waterworks, then governed by NAWASA. By authority of PD 198, the Sangguniang Bayan passed a resolution for the creation and establishment of local water utility-DARAGA WATER DISTRICT (DAWD), to operate within the territorial bounds of the municipality. Its birth succeeded the now defunct Provincial Waterworks and there, existed as a separate entity having a corporate seal and organizations structure to operate on its own.
