First Established as Tangub High School in the year 1967. It was materialized through the efforts of Barangay Captain Daniel Espanilla, Councilor Jose Y. Hilado and Mayor Romeo Guanzon.

In the year 1971 Tangub High School had its first graduates. The school's name was changed to Doña Luisa Medel High School under its first principal Mrs. Rita L. Jimenez.

Present day Luisa Medel National High School is captained by its new principal Mrs. Gladys Amylaine D. Sales, leading LMNHS to greater heights.
