Senior citizen can't get descount if no booklet evenin extreme emergency case
Mambajao Camiguin branch won't allow senior citizen discount if no booklet. We did present the senior citizen I. D. but due to circurmstances we cant present the booklet in this reasons:
1. The patient is an old bachelor technically living with a sister who is an old maid who happens to be a senior citizen also, the patient is 74 years old. He misplace his booklet which is understandle to elderly individual.
2. The patient is admitted due to severe anal bleeding at hemoglobin of 5 which means severe anemia, an extreme case. The patient is in ICU with urinary bladder catheter, Nasogastric tube, hypoglycemia at 20 blood sugar level and continue bleeding.
3. The mercury drug branch did consider and give us the SC discount on first purchase. But they will not allow it the second time for they insisted on lioking for the booklet.
4. The discount you can give is already a big amount that may extend a person life.
Reasons not to patronage this company:
1. A law breaker for they dont acknowledge the law of Senior Citizen Act. I know there's a law but if company like yours wont consider extreme cases, then you dont act on your respinsibility and you are not being a socially responsible institution.
2. Company who are not humane to those in needs, they should not be praise and be penalized for it.
3. Giving the due to an elderly senior citizen individual is just his right. Right to breath and right to accessible medicine but since the fact that you curtail it and you can't give a discount due to an individual is enough reason to boycott your company.

I recently stopped in the Mercury Drug store at the corner of Eco West and Quimpo in Ecoland SM area, and I was very much upset by the treatment I received from the manager. I took a number from the senior line because I'm 65; I was promptly told by the manager that those numbers are for Filipinos and not foreigners. The store was almost filled so it was a shock to me to be treated with such a racist and rude attitude. I explained to the manager that I have received service at all the other Mercury drug stores from the senior line, also I have gotten good service at the NSO in the senior line. I don't have a discount card since the Philippine government is racist and only allows Filipino's the discount card, however, should a Filipino come to the USA the discount for seniors would be given to them because of their age and not their nationality. I tried to explain to the manager that the sign did not state anything about holders of the senior discount card; it said PWD (persons with disability) (also, I'm 100% disabled from the US military) and seniors. Instead of making a big scene, I left. Two days later I came in to talk to the manager about her racists attitude and told her that the sign didn't state Filipino seniors only. I called her the worst racist I have encountered since coming to the Philippines more than a year ago and that I will never buy anything again in such a racist store. I told her that she needs to be fired as the manager and replaced with a person that can manage without being a racist. I noticed the other day she has covered up your company's red sign with a cardboard sign that reads PWD and Senior's with Discount Card. I'm treated at Rose Drug's and Watson's and all the SM stores better than I'm at your new store in Ecoland SM, Davao. I can receive service in the senior line at the Mercury stores at Abreeza and G-malls in Davao, but not at her store. There are a lot of foreigner's living in this area and she will drive potential customers away with her racist attitude and then you lose.
