Malimono

Malimono is the remotest municipality in the southwest part of Surigao del Norte with no access road linking towards east and south areas. People continue to survive through diversified livelihood by farming and fishing. Agricultural lands are dominantly occupied by coconut and tree crops or 81.80 percent of 6,980.5397 agriland with less area for rice since its terrain is steeply sloping. Municipal waters as the second source of income of the people covers 420 square kilometers.
