Municipality of Paluan, Occidental Mindoro - Philippines

Paluan is a 4th class municipality in the province of Occidental Mindoro, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 12,023 people in 2,483 households. Before Paluan became a Municipality on January 5, 1901, its history dates as far back as the early part of the 17th century when the village was known as the Religious District of Calavite. The town is located at the northern tip of the Province of Occidental Mindoro.
