Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a global leader in construction industry. Our respected client is seeking an executive with at least 5 years experience in all facets of accounting for the job of Senior Accountant. The job is based in Alabang, Muntinlupa Philippines.

Job summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing a company's financial operations. They ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, prepare financial statements, and analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making.

Key job responsibilities include:

Financial Reporting:

• Preparing and analyzing financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements)
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS)
• Providing financial analysis and reporting to management

Accounting Systems:

• Implementing and maintaining accounting systems and processes
• Overseeing general ledger maintenance and reconciliation
• Identifying and resolving accounting issues

Tax Compliance:

• Preparing and filing corporate and individual tax returns
• Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and laws

Audits:

• Coordinating with external auditors
• Providing necessary documentation and information for audits
• Addressing audit findings and recommendations

Financial Analysis:

• Conducting financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Preparing financial forecasts and budgets
• Providing financial advice to management

Team Management:

• Leading and mentoring junior accounting staff
• Assigning tasks and reviewing work

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Experience: 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience
• Certifications: CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software which is ODOO
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Soft Skills:

• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Can work on a night shift
