If you are looking for an irresponsible service company, PHILCAKE is what you're looking for. Very unprofessional customer service representatives with bad english. I don't even understand what they are trying to say. No sympathy whatsoever.

This is what happened.

My sister ordered a cake for my mom to be delivered on VDay. My mom was asleep so our uncle accepted the delivery. Knowing it wasn't his, he didn't check the cake. When my mom woke up 30mins later, she found out the cake was in terrible shape. Please see photos. It didn't look edible at all. I don't know what happened. Maybe the driver mishandled it or what but that was a very dishonest service. Since it was a Sunday, we still tried calling PhilCake in all of their six numbers. Me and my sister are both overseas and it costs us a lot just to make the call ring. No responses. My sister emailed them too that very same day. We got our response on Monday and they said they were going to get back to us within the day as they need to verify with their delivery guy first. It's like implying that my mom would lie about a $13 cake that they charge for $30+.


We got the response on Tuesday by a CS Rep named ELISA and they said they already scheduled a re-delivery and the cake was on the way. We didn't want a re-delivery as it would be useless. One, it was supposed to be a VDay surprise. And two, who wouldn't have trust issues considering the state of the first cake delivered. Exchanges of emails were made and they refused to refund us forcing us to take the cake. They charged 30$ for a stupid cake they are delivering two days after the special day and they expect us to accept it considering my mom can just literally cross the street and buy that cake anytime.

Since they were still not answering any of the calls and just respond to us via email, I decided to take my chances on the Live Chat. I got lucky and was able to chat with one of their CS Rep. So the CS Rep named RHED told me that they do not have the option "Refund" in their system that's why they cannot refund. Just because of a stupid automated system, without even assessing the incident, they cannot refund me. Since the conversation was taking too long and she didn't want to give me a refund, she offered me a 24-rose bouquet delivery to make up for it. I didn't want to agree on it but since I had an appointment in 10 mins, I agreed to it to make up for our mom's failed surprise. It was the 16th of Feb and she offered to deliver the flowers on the 20th as she said it was the earliest possible date. Losing my energy to argue any more, I agreed to the arrangement.

On the 16th, the cake which was on the way didn't arrive at all. We thought that maybe they cancelled it as I agreed on the bouquet to be delivered. On the 20th, no fucking bouquet arrived. I emailed them several times asking what happened. I have a copy of the transcript conversation between me and RHED confirming the delivery of the bouquet on the 20th. Until today, it's the 24th, I still got no response from any of their CS Rep. They are very inconsiderate and insensitive. No sincere apologies at all. Not even a single reply.

What the hell to do with you PHILCAKE? I know 30$ may be a small amount, but it was meant to be a special surprise for our MOM. Of all the people we surprised on VDAY, the only order that was an epic fail was that from PHILCAKE AND that was for MY MOM. We really felt horrible. And when PHILCAKE replied, no sincere apologies or what from them.

SUCH AN UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE COMPANY. DO NOT ORDER FROM PHILCAKE OR ANY OF ITS SISTER COMPANIES. Unless you want to experience something like this.
